في 2 أيلول 2013، أدخلت تعديلات جذرية لقانون الهجرة لعام ،1958 والتشريعات المماثلة له، بحيث أدخلت بموجبهم مهن جديدة للائحة المهن العائدة لولاية جنوب استراليا.سأختصر التعديلات المذكورة على الشكل المبين أدناه:
1- المهن الجديدة
أدخلت المهن التالية على لائحتها:

2- Registered Nurse
2- المهن التي حذفت
1- 2331 -Chemical and Materials Engineers
2- 2611 -ICT Business and Systems Analysts
3- Electronic Engineers
4- 2633 -Telecommunication Engineering Professionals
5- 2339 -Other Engineering Professionals
6- 2613 -Software And Applications Programmers
من الجدير التنبه بان دائرة الهجرة قد حددت العدد المسموح به لإعطاء تأشيرة من الفئات المشار إليها أعلاه بالرغم من أنها قد حذفت من لائحة المهن إذا استوفى مقدمها بالشروط التالية:
1- أذا كان يعمل حاليا بنفس الوظيفة في جنوب استراليا.
2- أذا كان طالبا أجنبيا وأتم دروسه في جنوب استراليا.
3- شخص نشيط ومعروف وقد حصل على نقاط عالية عندما أتم تعديل شهادته كما يتميز بمعرفته الممتازة للغة الانكليزية ولديه الخبرات الجمة في نطاق عمله.
اذاً، أذا اثبت مقدم الطلب بأنه يتمتع بالصفات المذكورة أعلاه، فان دائرة الهجرة من الممكن أن تمنحه التأشيرة على الرغم من أنها قد حذفت من لائحة المهن.
